Grandma Style
Rag & Bone Denim, T by Alexander Wang T Shirt, Trout Coat, Fendi Flats, Chanel Handbag, Hermes Watch, Tiffany Bracelet, David Yurman Bracelet, Tiffany Earrings
I had a moment last week while spending the day with one of my favourite cousin. We stopped in at a little vintage shop downtown to take a look around, and I became completely smitten with ensembles from eras earlier. Delicate little 50s dresses that looked worthy of Betty Draper, and 80s dresses complete with puffy sleeves and peplums. I couldn’t help myself. I truly feel that nothing is entirely outdated if the styling behind it is on point. So with that in mind, I took my brand new ‘Grandma’ style coat out on the town, and felt completely relevant. How does that song go again, oh right, everything old is new again.
Boho Vibe
Topshop x Kate Moss Dress (similar here), Burberry Trench Coat, Rag & Bone Booties, Tom Ford Handbag, Michael Kors Watch, Links of London Bracelet, Alden Rae Bracelet, Tiffany Earrings, Lisbeth Neckalce
When I received the invite for a shopping preview of the Kate Moss x Topshop collaboration, I ran, not walked to drool over the collection. Kate Moss had such a hand in the design of each and every piece, and you can feel her presence in all of them. I left with a fabulous little romper and pretty LWD (little white dress), but went back online to order this dress with a serious bohemian flare. I always wondered what I’d wear to Coachella should the opportunity to go ever arise, and surely, this dress would do the trick. I’m envisioning it in the warm evenings of summer with sandals, a ponytail and a glass of vino.

Alice + Olivia Tank, Alice + Olivia Trousers, Saint Laurent Pumps, Celine Handbag, Hermes Watch, Tiffany Bracelet, David Yurman Bracelet, La Vie Parisienne Earrings
My absence from the this little space on the internet comes with a fabulous reason. This past weekend I travelled down to California where, along with my sister and brother-in-law, surprised my sister-in-law in Disneyland for her 30th birthday. I love surprises, and getting to surprise one of my favourite people made it even more special. The icing on the cake was missing the snowfall that happened back home in Calgary. Seriously, spring can come anytime now, I’d like to eventually trade in my snow shovel for a lawn mower.

Tweed
Tory Burch Dress (and here), Jimmy Choo Pumps, Christian Louboutin Clutch (different color), Burberry Trench Coat (similar here), Michael Kors Watch, Charriol Bracelet, Tiffany Necklace, Tiffany Earrings
As a gal who pays extra attention to fabrics any time I’m purchasing an article of clothing (I do have a degree in textiles you know), often times I forget how various fabrics can play out in a certain design. I would usually never consider a tweed dress for spring, but the pattern and colours on this little number won me over. My closet is filled with little silk numbers that carry me through the summer months, so it’s a nice change to go with something a little more structured instead. Sometimes all we need is a little change in our routine.
Suit Up
T by Alexander Wang Pants (different color), T by Alexander Wang Blazer, Aritzia Lace Top, Christian Louboutin Pumps, Saint Laurent Handbag (different color), Anzie Necklace, Tiffany Necklace, Chanel Watch, Charriol Bracelet
I’ve never been much of a suit kinda girl. When the time comes for cleaning up I’ve always leaned more towards a feminine dress or a sharp skirt/blouse combination. Lately however, something has changed. First there was my Oscar Party-suit moment, and then I fell hard for this little blush number that serves business purposes while maintaining my feminine wit. Truly, what more could one possibly ask for from her ensemble?
