My personal style is definitely more school girl Sandy than Pink Lady rebel Rizzo. But when the mood strikes right I like to let my inner biker chic shine through. Such was the case the other day when I reached for my high heeled, studded sandals and leather vest. That is what I love about fashion, you can dress to your mood, and even if just for the day, reinvent yourself.

This weekend was a fabulous mix of relaxation, physical activity, brunch with friends and time with family. I was able to stay away from all things work related and instead focused on enjoying the beautiful summer days that drifted into gorgeous evenings. It’s weekends like this past one that make me wish summer could last year round.
When summer rolls around I try to keep sweets out of the house. It only makes sense to do so when having sangria on tap a bit more frequently than usual. This situation makes it quite inconvenient when I’m craving a sugary solution for my mid afternoon lull. The other day I thought I would solve my first-world problem and plucked the Milk & Cookies cook book from my shelf. I immediately spotted the recipe for Mocha Latte Cookies, and needless to say, a jolt of caffeine with your sweets, is just common sense. Needless to say I had to package these little guys up as soon as possible and ship them out of my home before I ate the entire batch. They truly are spectacularly delicious, and I just know I’ll be making them again soon.

These shorts of mine have been on repeat for the better part of the summer. The thing about finding the perfect pair of shorts is that inevitably there is going to come a time when they no longer have the capacity to live up to your expectations. Until then, these shorts are going to be earning their keep in the closet. Flowy or structured, high heels or high tops, this little pair of denim has made friends with every thread in the closet, and I can’t wait to show you what I pair them with next.

As much as I love a hot summer day, sometimes it’s nice to have a breeze roll in to cool everything down. Such was the situation the other day when I had to switch from skirts to pants, for practicality of course. I love my denim, but sometimes you need to mix it up, and these pants could easily take you from the boardroom to drinks with the girls.
