Centre Street Style x LE CHÂTEAU – HOLIDAY EDITION
Listen up local fashionistas, I’m teaming up with LE CHÂTEAU for a special holiday edition of Meet the Blogger taking place this Thursday, November 27th from 6-10pm at LE CHÂTEAU‘s location in The Core in downtown Calgary, AB. If you’ve been wondering what to wear this holiday season LE CHÂTEAU has you covered. From dazzling dresses to edgy ensembles to those fabulous finishing touches, you’ll find it all. I’ll be there offering my expertise and personal staying advice to all of those who stop in, AND, there will be amazing holiday savings in-store. I can’t think of a better way to spend your evening than getting prepped for the holidays and playing dress up with your very own personal stylist.

Striped Layers
Vince Sweater, Wilfred Faux Leather Leggings, Michael Kors Fur Vest (similar here and here, here), ASOS Coat, Stuart Weitzman Boots, Proenza Schouler Handbag (similar here), Lisbeth Necklace
The cold has moved in and brought with it the feelings of the holidays. I don’t mind the arctic atmosphere when the anticipation of my favourite season comes with it. I tend to embark on the holiday season a bit earlier than most, and this year will be no different. I love opening the boxes I packed away almost a year ago and rediscovering each decoration one by one. I love recalling the past memories of the holiday, the ones spent in Edmonton and Vancouver, and now in Calgary. I’m not sure what you’ll all be doing this coming weekend, but I think it’s pretty clear what I’ll be getting up to.
Overcoat
Aritzia Sweater, Rag & Bone Legging Jeans, Mason by Michelle Mason Coat, Aritzia Beanie, New Balance Sneakers (similar here and here), Proenza Schouler Handbag (similar here), Hermes Watch, Stella + Dot Bracelet, David Yurman Bracelet
As the temperature drops and coats become mandatory when venturing outdoors, the exhausting conundrum of what to wear grows larger. An overcoat is a fantastic option to consider. Not only is there ample room underneath to don the chunkiest of sweaters, but it’s lengthy hem keeps your legs toasty warm. It’s classic silhouette ensures that it won’t go out of style by next season, (insert Working Girl reference here), and it can be dressed up or down, as demonstrated here.
Knee Highs
Alice + Olivia Blouse (similar here), Carven Sweatshirt, Diane Von Furstenberg Skirt (similar here), Commando Knee High Socks, Valentino Flats, Celine Handbag, J Crew Earrings
When the movie Clueless came out in the 90s, I think it’s acceptable to say that it was an absolute favourite amongst myself and my girlfriends. I dreamed of a wardrobe filled with knee high socks and teddy bear backpacks. Alas, in place of matching plaid ensembles and Calvin Klein sheath dresses, at that time I was rocking the baggy Levi’s tees and jeans look. That’s all changed now though, and these knee high socks will be paired with an abundance of pieces in my closet. Hopefully you all don’t get tired of them before I do, consider yourselves warned.
Classics
Artizia Sweater, Vince Cropped Leather Pants (similar here), Vince Loafers, Celine Handbag, Alexis Bittar Earrings (similar here), Hermes Watch, David Yurman Bracelet, Tiffany Bracelet, Stella + Dot Bracelet
One of my favourite things about fall fashion is that you can build your entire wardrobe around tried and true staples, and spend the entire season mixing and matching. A chunky knit turtleneck can go from the office, to brunch with the girls, to après ski on the mountain. Leather pants, an investment piece that will last you years, will also cover you (literally) for all of your fall/winter fashion needs. While it’s tempting to purchase those ‘wow’ pieces, ostrich feather skirts and sequin crop tops don’t have the same versatility as the time-honoured classics.
