Pink Sheath
Diane von Furstenberg Dress (other colours here and here), Alice + Olivia Coat (similar here), Wolford Tights, Saint Laurent Pumps, Christian Louboutin Clutch (similar here), Hermes Watch, David Yurman Bracelet, Kate Spade Bracelet, La Vie Parisienne Earrings
I’m a huge proponent of items in your wardrobe working double duty. If you can’t wear an item to multiple occasions, and it’s sole purpose is acting as a one occasion wonder, than it’s probably not worth the investment. That’s why I was thrilled when I laid eyes on this fabulous sheath dress and was immediately able to come up with numerous ways to style it. With a blazer for work, over black tights for date night, or underneath a chunky sweater for dinner with the ladies, it definitely earns it’s keep in the closet. The cherry on top, due to it’s colour, it just happens to be a perfect fit for Valentine’s Day.
Hearts on My Sleeve
Equipment Blouse (other heart prints here, here and here), Aritzia Tank, Alice + Olivia Skirt (similar here and here), Charlotte Olympia Pumps (similar here), Chanel Handbag, Wolford Nylons, Tiffany Earrings
In honour of a holiday that celebrates love, and all things pink and red, I’ll be showcasing some of my own Valentine’s inspired wears this week. With pink already holding ranks as my fav colour of all time, what better excuse than love day to pull out the MVPs of date night looks. I’m starting the week off with a sophisticated, rich colour palate, but one that combines a bit of whimsy. My heart print blouse is in constant rotation year round, but it’s relativity level skyrockets for Valentine’s Day. Tell me, what will you be donning this weekend?
Aspen Inspired
Artizia Shirt, Artizia Sweater, Adrienne Landau Fur Vest (different colour here and here), Aritzia Faux Leather Leggings (similar here), Stuart Weitzman Boots, Chanel Handbag, Hermes Watch, David Yurman Bracelet, Tiffany Earrings
When the streets of Calgary start filling with snow, and you have to trade in stilettos for snow attire, there’s one place and one place only where I go for inspiration on winter wear. That my friends, is Aspen. I love the mix of practical knit attire mixed with luxe furs and leather, completed with a fabulous pair of boots to keep those pedicured toes toasty. The best part of dressing the part is that I’m protected from the winter elements, and yet still dressed functionally enough to get to to and fro. An added bonus, I’m après ski ready, without having to hitting the hill.
Sneaks
Helmut Lang Blouse, Rag & Bone Jeans, Alice + Olivia Coat, Chanel Sneakers (similar here), Proenza Schoeler Handbag, Escada Scarf, Shinola Watch, David Yurman Bracelet, Kate Spade Earrings
As someone who is a self-proclaimed shoe-addict, with a bias for the high-heeled variety, I’ve never been much of a sneaker fan. All of that has changed in the recent months though, with an abundance of sneaker options becoming available. Being able to throw on a chic pair of sneaks makes navigating the city a little less treacherous. Much to my surprise, many of my ensembles look as fantastic a little closer to the ground as they do when they’re pumped up to the sky.
Hello Dolly Bars
I have to say, my kitchen time has been lacking in the past couple of months, and my oven has been receiving some major time off. That all changed the other day when I was expecting company and wanted to serve something easy but completely delicious. Hello Dolly Bars are a classic, staple treat, and they’re so easy to make it almost feels like a crime to take credit for baking them. I used this recipe from the Magnolia Bakery Cookbook, and they went over as I had hoped they would. The only downside, the leftovers that I’ve been running a train over. Oops.
